GR-870 Student Pass for Crittenden County

Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Admission Available to Any Crittenden County Student!

The original exhibit of the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum was researched and developed by the world-famous Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, making it one of the most educational exhibits in the Mid-South. It tells the story of legendary musicians of all racial and socio-economic backgrounds... from both sides of the Mississippi River... whose music changed the cultural complexion of the world forever. Rock 'n' Soul is also a civil rights museum, teaching about how black and white musicians came together in studios and at radio stations in our region to create the musical sounds that shook the planet!

Thanks to a unique partnership with Southland Casino in West Memphis, a free admission to the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum is made possible for any interested student, grades 1 - 12, who lives in Crittenden County. A free admission for one accompanying adult, parent or guardian is also provided by Southland. All you have to do is to bring an official form of ID, like a drivers license or utility bill, which confirms you as a resident of Crittenden County. Southland Casino's "GR-870 Student Pass" free admission is only available through May 31, 2023, and is only available for individual students or families... not for large groups (like day care field trips, scout troops, etc.).

The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum is located at FedExForum, the home of the Memphis Grizzlies, right across the Memphis-Arkansas bridge in downtown Memphis. Your educational experience will begin with a 12-minute film, after which you will receive an audio guide and headphones which lead you through the evolution of Mid-South music, all the way to the birth or rock 'n' roll, soul music, and more. Rock 'n' Soul is open seven days a week, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm (with final guests admitted at 4:15 pm each day).

We  hope you will take advantage of this unique educational opportunity, and will come visit us at the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum. We also thank Southland Casino Hotel for making this great educational opportunity for students available!
